A beautiful and large scale French gilt wood altar surviving from the early to mid 19th century. 

The gothic arched canopy with domed interior raised on scrolled corinthian columns. Painted detailing of dark teal within the scrolls and arch. The altar is congruent on all four sides.

In good original order, scuffs and small losses of gilding. One finial missing

The altar canopy can be dissembled as well as the columns from the base.
