Decorative Anglo Indian Carved Octagonal Table. Circa 1900-1920

A large highly decorative Anglo Indian octagonal table. Profusely carved hardwood base with panels of peacocks amongst scrolling leaf vines. The same detailing to the top outer edge with central finely cast pieced copper insert depicting fish within the scrolling flowering vine.

The interior base has been reinforced with steel brackets and adapted with a bulb holder to illuminate the pieced insert which enhances the table beautifully.
