A rare and striking French monastery or church sculpture surviving from the early  to mid 19th century. The winged figure holding an Hourglass is possibly Archangel  Michael and the representation of death. 

Beautifully sculpted with good detail. In very good order, some slight losses.

Can be wall hung by the wooden structural frame.
