Pierre Jean Vallet.  Born 22 February 1809, in Riom (Puy-de-Dôme); died 22 June 1886, in Tours.

Vallet was a pupil of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. He made his Salon debut in 1840.

Signed and unframed.
