Large 19th century Chinese glazed jar from the Shan Xi province. Used for storing wines, soy and vinegars. The jar is handcrafted from coiled clay to the lower half. The upper half is pressed and moulded by hand. Brilliant patina with natural firing marks. Scuffs and marks consistent with age.
