Collection of 7 French scientific fungi models, Circa 1940-50’s. This group would be perfect in a curiosity cabinet.
Each hand painted and highly detailed rubber life size models.
Used both in French pharmacies and in pharmaceutical schools for educational and identification purposes. One can go mushroom gathering and bring their mushrooms to the pharmacy to have them identified as edible or not.
Each with labels on the base gives the French common name then, below that, the Latin name, and below this whether or not it is edible (comestible), non-edible (non comestible), poisonous (veneneux), or deadly (mortelle).
Each in excellent order.
