Dating from around 1900 this genuine stacking Globe-Wernicke bookcase is a classic Edwardian piece constructed from oak. With two of the original makers labels this stacking bookcase is made up of four display sections in total.

Each section having a glazed door that lifts and slides back. It has a simple moulded top and raised on a tapered legged plinth.

As one would expect, due to its design, it is relatively easy to move as it can be split into a total of six sections. The oak has aged to a rich warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good order and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

One locking section with original key.

153cm high, 87cm wide, 35cm overall depth.
